Smooth, sleek, but incredibly tough, the UR-103.08 TiAlN re-joins the URWERK Pre-Owned collection.
This steel-cased UR-103, with its unique purple/brown hues, is one of our most popular from the Certified Pre-Owned collection, mainly because there's nothing like it!
What is TiAlN?
Titanium Aluminum Nitride. A treatment is well-known in the industrial industry for its exceptional properties. A TiAlN coating less than 4 microns thick multiplies the resistance of the underlying metal to scratches, shocks, oxidation and even acids. Applied to tools when machining metals to guarantee the tool head is stronger than the material.
Harder than DLC and has a Vickers rating of 3500. In context, steel is only 600 Vickers, and sapphire is 4000. Besides its immense strength, the UR-103.08 TiAlN also has great beauty. A striking purple/brown colour is created by playing with the Titanium/Aluminium ratio, resulting in something never seen before in the watch industry.
Initially released in 2007, you can wear this jewel in the UR-103 crown again! Our iconic satellite complication displays the hours on four orbiting satellites that travel along the minute track from east to west like the sun. Flip it over to reveal the control board with a power reserve indicator, 15-minute and seconds dials for precise time settings, and a user-adjustable fine-tuning screw to adjust the watch's rate if running fast or slow.
As with all our Certified Pre-Owned collections, we have fully serviced and refurbished the watch. As well as adding a new strap, the UR-103 TiAlN comes with a URWERK box and a new Pre-Owned international warranty for two years.

Felix Baumgartner - "Working for years at/and with Gros atelier (our genius case maker artisan), I discovered extremely sharp machining tools with a strange colour! After research, I found out where they are made and for what. The machining does not need oil to strengthen the tool and protect it. This is from where this treatment comes, so there is no design, purely a technical treatment (All PVD used in watches have a design goal primarily and are not applied in the tooling industry)

I have always dreamed of darker or even black-coloured watches. The shape of any object looks so different and beautiful in a dark colour, and it always vexed me that it was impossible to work with the full palette of colours and gradations. Then, we discovered the extraordinarily striking, dark violet copper coating used to protect our drilling tools. We created a watch using the Titanium-based TiAlN coating to transform our UR-103 case into a stunning, out-of-the-ordinary looking contemporary timepiece."

Please note that we cannot refund returned items unless all elements on the returns checklist are confirmed.
Returns checklist:
1. All tags and labels are in place and haven’t at any point been removed from the product.
2. The watch or strap is unworn. Products are free of any marks, scratches that were not there at the time of shipping.
3. All instructions, guarantees, presentation packaging etc. are in the same condition as before shipping.
4. Returns are made to us within 14 days (URWERK does not cover the cost of returns; this falls to the client. Returning a product needs to be done by an official courier and be fully insured with a tracking number.)
FAULTY GOODS

RECEIVING A REFUND
Once the item has been returned to URWERK for inspection and approval please allow up to 14 days from the date of receipt for the refund to be processed. Funds will be credited to the original payment method used.
We have you covered; as a thank you for selecting the URWERK SHOP, we ship anywhere in the world free of charge.
Nice and Simple. But remember we don't cover local import taxes and duties, these are the responsibility of the client. So please before making a purchase check with your local authorities regarding any possible fees.
Delivery Options
Watches will be shipped using the best courier service based on your location. Please note, deliveries are not made on Bank Holidays or Sundays. Please allow additional time, if ordering on or near public holidays or weekends. Delivery will commence once payment is secured depending on payment type.
Important Information
Please check that the shipping address is correct as we are unable to redirect orders once they're in transit, and we are unable to deliver to PO box numbers.
Before we can despatch your purchase, we may need to confirm your details with your card issuer. Please ensure that your billing address matches that kept on record with your card issuer. We will do our best to minimise any delay. Occasionally we may need to contact you to confirm additional security details before shipping your order.
Insurance
Your purchase is insured whilst in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you do not receive the goods in person (i.e. for gift orders or where an item has been signed for by a concierge/reception desk) then the person who signs for the package confirms receipt and is accountable for the package.
Watch Strap Leather
Please be aware that due to the protection of endangered species our watches cannot be shipped on Alligator leather straps. As this can result in major delays in you receiving your new purchase.
