Nicked named the Dark Knight, due to its bad-ass titanium case and steel blackened bezel/shield. We have a great example in an as new condition, available now.

Created using our specialised AITiN coating: Aluminium Titanium Nitride is an ultra-hard coating, consisting of nitrogen and the metallic elements aluminium and titanium. Giving the UR-105M a dark mean and tough look.

Inspired by the Middle Ages, where Knights lived for honour and glory. For every Knight in shining armour, there would be a Dark Knight. A villainous rogue, ready to battle with his shield as his protection.

The UR-105 M Dark Knight proudly wears a black shield of steel (an alloy of iron and carbon) and a body of titanium, protecting the satellite complication.

Each of these satellites is visible during their 60-minute journey along the minute scale. A circular PEEK (PolyEtherEthercetone) canopy with openings enhances the current hour. Once the hour has elapsed, the satellite-guided by a Geneva cross rotates and continues around its orbit for another three hours before returning to the centre stage.

The case side laterally indicates running seconds and the power reserve. Turn the  Dark Knight over, and you will find URWERK'S signature Control Board’ housing additional displays and functions: an Oil Change’ indicator alerting when it is time for service; 42-hour power reserve indicator; plus the fine-tuning screw allowing adjustment of the rate.

Creators Thoughts:

Felix Baumgartner - "Since URWERK introduced black into the world of Haute Horology with the 103 Nightwatch in 2006, it became a classic URWERK which is perfectly transmitted through the Dark Knight.

Martin Frei - “Inspired by a Medieval knights armour, the UR-105M Iron is protected by its iron shield. I had read a portrait about the blacksmith Johann Schmidberger from Molln in Steyrmark Austria. Even today, he forges by hand the iron armour of the papal guard, just as it was done in the Middle Ages. Together with Felix, we went to visit the renowned blacksmith in Molln. Standing in his ancient smithy and watching the gigantic Schmidberger at work like Hephaestus. Seeing the iron glow in the fire, the smith's hammer forges it into the right shape on the anvil, has left a lasting impression on me. Iron is a perfect and essential material from which the knight's armour and also the first clocks, the tower clocks for the churches were forged. The case of the UR-105M, its shield, is inspired by this impressive encounter with Johann Schmidberger."

Condition Rating UR-1: As new, no or very few signs of wear, the movement is serviced and in working condition.
