Introducing the UR-110 RG, where the extraordinary meets elegance in a dance of red gold and high-tech titanium. Picture this - a solid gold armor embracing a celestial wonder, the UR-110 RG, crowned with a 5N red gold bezel that's a nod to purists and a testament to timeless class.
Elevating its status further, the UR-110 proudly wears the 2011 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève prize for Best Design Watch, placing it at the pinnacle of watchmaking excellence. This timepiece is not just a watch; it's a piece of art, a radical tradition upheld by URWERK in crafting timepieces that tell time through orbiting satellite complications.
Now, let's dive into the captivating mechanics. On the UR-110 RG, time takes center stage on the right side, an unconventional yet enchanting move. Imagine satellites gracefully tracing a vertical arc, from 0 to 60 minutes, descending with purpose. The three hour-satellites, aptly named "torpedoes," maintain parallel formation, choreographed by planetary gearing, delivering a spectacle that's as mesmerizing as it is precise.
But it doesn't stop there. A three-level architectural marvel unfolds beneath the surface:
- A central carousel, the beating heart, providing stability and equilibrium
- Planetary gearing, the unsung hero, ensuring the synchronized rotation of hour-satellites as they orbit the dial
- Counter-rotating hour modules, a symphony of micro-engineering, each boasting an hour satellite, minute hand, and counterbalance, playfully dancing around the carousel.
And oh, the view! The large panoramic sapphire crystal invites you to marvel at the technological marvels within. Not just a timekeeper, the UR-110 RG hosts a Control Board on the dial side, revealing indicators for "Day/Night" and the intriguing "Oil Change" – URWERK's quirky service interval display. Peek at the back, and you'll find the titanium encasement guarding an innovative automatic winding system, regulated by dual turbines.
In essence, the UR-110 RG is a symphony of contrasts, where the classic allure of red gold meets the avant-garde essence of micro-engineering. It's not just a watch; it's a conversation starter, a piece of art that seamlessly marries tradition with innovation. Welcome to the URWERK 110 RG, where timekeeping is elevated to an art form.

Felix Baumgartner - "We are known for complications that require cutting-edge high-performance materials, yet gold has always been one of our favorite materials. All of our collections feature a version crafted in this noble metal, from the very first UR-101. More than a tradition, it is a milestone for us and we feel that a collection is only complete once a gold version has been created. Gold and titanium are the main components of this new UR-110, a watch of contrasts.”"
Martin Frei - "Gold provides a unique feeling and emotion thanks to its density and its special appearance. In all the ancient and modern civilizations, gold was regarded as the material of the Gods. For me, as a trained sculptor and painter, touch is the first sense. This certainly explains my visceral attraction to gold. I like its solid, heavy, reassuring and eternal character. Our UR-110 collection could not be complete without a counterpart in gold. We have now achieved this."
Condition Rating UR-1: As new, with no or very few signs of wear, the movement is serviced and in working condition.
